Folk Art Adam & Eve Sculptures

Size: (Adam) 10 1/8" / (Eve) 8 1/8" (not including custom base)
Found in Goshen, Indiana these compelling carvings are superbly rendered with the bare innocence of Adam & Eve before the Fall.

Adam stands taller than Eve and holds apples in his hands, while Eve uses her hands for some modesty. Each carved from the solid of poplar with black pigment to their hair.

Both retain their original surfaces and they have taken on a rich oxidized color.

Condition: Excellent. Minor edge wear all around, Losses to his ears (more to his left), wear to her right hand - but overall quite good.
