Carved from the solid of oak this dynamic carving has a truly elegant design - with open carving throughout - the dog's tail curving around and under it's body - the open-work behind the dog and the airy, decorative, "gills" make for a superb piece of sculpture. Surface is untouched and maintains a dark, oaky reddish-brown hue.
