Civil War POW Folk Art Carved Wood Ring with Silver Mounts

Circa: 1865
Size: 1 1/4" x 1 1/4"
Carved wood (maple?) ring with a dark color and patina with silver mounts. The front with the initial, "D.P." and dated, "1865." The sides with a hand and a heart (Oddfellows?).

Probably made by a Confederate POW at Johnson's Island, Lake Erie Ohio. Several gutta percha rings have been recorded, but I have not found another wooden ring like this.

The interior is 7/8” diameter or 22.225 mm, which would make it +/- a ring size 13.
